London Bound**

Headed to London in the morning to kick of the start of the promotion for “On Mercy Street.”  Sitting in a local coffee shop in Derry  bleeding their internet dry, listening to the final Master of the new album only to realize there is a bum note on one track… hahaha… back to the studio I go.  Rome wasn't built in a day.  Once thats fixed that is it! We are done and one step closer..... to the final product.  Art work is also nearly finished just a “thank you” note and were there  It looks amazing, they made me look really cool.

made me look really cool.

London tomorrow night to play with the most bad ass band I've ever played with “The Lindas” they are the band that played on the record and the good people I’m playing with tomorrow night… Haven't lifted a guitar in a week, so I bette get my lugs around one tonight.

Also i’m doing an interview with the talented “Music of Ayala,” for an Irish TV program, its gonna be a good weekend!

“The Very Best of Tour” is now well and truly over.  What a whirlwind of a tour it was.  52 shows of awesomeness.  I can’t thank each and everyone of you lot enough for coming out to watch us play.  Thank you, thank you & thank you.  I’ve said it once and I’ve said it a million times without you guy’s I would never be able to do what I love doing.  Thanks for spending your precious time and hard earned money with me on the road, on music, my shows and at www.HarkinHeadquarters.com  It truly is appreciated.

Even though the tour was amazing I’d be lying if I was to say I wasn't excited to come home… It was a long stint for me… I Was basically on the go for 9 moths straight.  A bit burnt out to say the least! But all good now, getting rejuvenated and ready to rock the socks off “On Mercy Street” in the fall.  Home is awesome! it hasn't stopped raining at all haha.  It’s so good to be home though… Ive been out in my camper van, done some fishing, some hiking, waterfalls, Guinness, making soap with my Mom & Dad in their www.shivonsoap.com shack and plenty of Ireland.  There is no place like home.

Also just got booked for the Rocky Mountain Irish festival in Estes park, Colorado!! Myself and Barry Kerr are busting to play and some more good news Rebecca Harkin is also playing solo at the festival too, there may be a few guest appearances here and there ;) !!!

  Check it out:  http://rockymountainirishfestival.com

Since we’ve been in Ireland too I have tonnes of new Irish ideas for the website www.harkinheadquarters.com you are gonna love it… what would you guys like us to stock  on the Irish section of HHQ???  Also some new final offers on the website have a look see. ;)

**********“On Mercy Street Tour” ******

We have started booking shows for the tour!!!!  It will start out in LA on the 31st Sept and then onward till Dec 22nd.  Give or take a day or 2… Keep your eyes peeled for dates

Kick starter campaign that I talked about in a previous blog is almost ready… I’m gonna need you guys more than I've ever needed before. x

Right I gotta run… gonna meet the wee sister for a meeting about her new album too!!! Its all go here in Derry this morning… Coffee number 3 on the way.

Sept. 31?? 30 days has September... In any case I'll keep an eye out for the tour dates and places. Saw the Very Best of tour here in L.A. and getting ready to see some of your fellow band mates that are coming this way. Would like to see you as well when you get out here. All of you are so talented.

Hi Keith, I am happy to hear that HHQ will have an Irish section that is exciting news! ;) I am so ready for the kick off of On Mercy Street I cant wait to hear the new tunes. Just the fact that you are flying to London to fix a bum note (1)!! tells me how perfect the new album will be. I was so happy Kelsey got to spend time with you in Ireland. Not only did she have the opportunity to see your beautiful country but she got to see you in a more relaxed place and spend time with the real you at home. (Ireland home not LA home). I cant wait for you to release tour dates so I can book my tickets to see you. As always love you to bits!! XX

It's true what they say...There's no place like home! The green in Ireland's countryside, the blue of her waves and even the gray in the rainy skies have put a rosy glow in your cheeks! Rest well...Work hard...That's a good motto...
To say we can't wait for "On Mercy Street" is an understatement, but as impatient as we are...Making sure you cross the t's and dot the i's is more important. All that you do, Keith, you do well and with us in mind. It is that thought that sustains us and encourages us to follow you. A celebrity that truly cares for his fans is a rarity; one that you & the other CT members do well...It must be an Irish thing...like telling a good story before a song, eh Keith? Never stop...never forget your roots and what made you who you are today! Thoughtful, genuine, caring...These are good qualities you possess & the reasons we'll follow & support you to the ends of the earth and back!
Good Luck in London...Finishing touches on your album...hug & squeeze your sister...and grab coffee #4! Onward & Upward! Keep on Rollin'...."On Mercy Street"

A son of Ireland you are and ever will be - she is your strength always. You are lucky in her as your birthplace. Thank you ever so much for the photos of your travels around your Ireland home. I eagerly await your new album, but take your time and get it right - you always do demand perfection as one should. We will be here when it is time to finally release it.
I do hope you will announce Poor David's Pub, Dallas Show asap as flights are so much less when scheduled far out and hotel where I stay is always sold out nearer the event as Dallas schedules tons of large events that always coincide with yours there. I would like for cousins Lorrie and Michael (McKinney, TX) to make a return for your PDP event as well especially with Dave ( he is an awesome Irish talent, too and they have never experienced his live performance accompanying you) joining you on tour - takes early planning. Keep on fishing, breathing Irish air, feasting your eyes with Ireland's unmatched countryside and eating good Irish food. Ever your fan, wanting for you all that is good for you.

Patiently, waiting for "On Mercy Street", roll on August. When will Rebecca be releasing her album? I really hope you come to Western Canada (Victoria BC) on your tour, we would love to see you on the Island. Glad your re-charging your batteries at home with family and friends, take care.

Will most definitely help out with the kickstarter campaign because your music is so, so worth it :)

Beautiful, stunning pictures of Ireland. One day I'll make it there.

But among your busy-ness, please look after yourself and your health

Hey there captain Harkin, why not sell Shivron soap at HHQ? Just a thought. Just about anything from Ireland would be great! Thanks for the update, we know you'll have a great time

Dear Keith, no need to thank us, but it's nice to hear anyway. You are fabulous and with your personality, people (me included) just gravitate toward you. I know your album will be a huge success, and happy to help in anyway. As for Irish items on Harkin hq, plaid scarves, or throws, sweaters or capes; jewelry is always good -- cladaugh rings or pins. I love anything Irish especially you. Take care of you and yoir Kelsey.

I am sitting here reading your blog while drinking my coffee out of my Keith Harkin travel mug. I love it. It's good to hear from you. Glad you're enjoying yourself and getting some much needed and well deserved R&R. I am excited for the new album. I'm trying to see my way clear to come to the Irish Festival. My husband died 2 years ago Friday and I keep trying to tell myself that I need it and deserve it, but I have to watch my money. I SO want to go. I hope you will be in Boston on your tour, but unlike LA, I hope it is on a real date. There is no September 31st! LOL! Thirty days hath September... ;)
