Wooooowooow-weewhaa! what a sound!

So I done that showcase gig in London Sphere Studios last week.  There were a few other bands there… all looking & sounding amazing. I was on last with the one and only rocking badass band ‘“the Linda’s” & Sam Swallow from “the Hoosiers” on Keys.

Wooooowooow-weewhaa!  what a sound!  Its funny When you're

headlining a show and the band and myself only got to run through 2 of the 8 songs once for the first time in 9 months haha.  Old hat to a group of guys who play best when winging it. ;)

We started out the set with the title song “Mercy’” and finished with an acoustic Number Pat the guitarist wrote called “Risk the Fall.”  It was a great night altogether.  Massive shout out to Andy and Gav who threw the bash and Lewis who done sound all night… cracking night all round!

Also on the night had a nice chat Ayala with Irish Television, coming to a screen near you very soon, I may have done a wee acoustic number too… ;)

Were shooting  a load of footage for my Kickstarter campaign today… Its taking way longer than I expected as everything does but thats just the way it goes… still shooting to have the release of “On Mercy Street” for August.  It's all go go go!

Also for all you guys coming to the Rocky mountain Festival I’m gonna have a load more new merchandise for you guys to have at the Festival!!! some new shirts and a few other wee tricks that you are gonna love?  Are you coming to the festival?  There are rumors that I may be playing another night… they want to make sure that there is plenty of interest in it though!! so let them know you want to see me rocking out more than once!!!

What kind of songs you want me to play at the festival???  Any special songs that you want if your coming?  Let me know and i’ll try and get your song mentioned!! ;)

Few new album’s from my friends are now out and ready for the pleasure of your ear’s….

Barry Kerr “Boy in a Boat” is out. This album is freaking awesome, I was there whilst a lot if it was being made, and if your lucky I might get Barry to play one at the festival in Colorado?!

Paddy Nash and the Happy Enchiladas have also just released another album that they have put their blood sweat and tears into, a freaking good group of people that you will enjoy hearing to no-end!

Amongst all that been going on I've been heading away every chance i can get in my van around donegal surfing and hiking… Its good to be home… I’d love to show you guys around here some day… you think you lot would want a guided tour holiday from yours truly around Ireland? ;) just a thought

Great blog for you to post Keith! I would so love to have a Keith Harkin guided tour of your area of Ireland. By all the pictures you and Kelsey have posted, you two are having a great time in Ireland. So happy that Harkin Headquarters will be adding an Irish section to the site real soon. But for me the biggest event will be the release of "On Mercy Street!" Keep rocking.

Hey Laddie, we would love to have a guided tour with your view of the Emerald Isle! It would be great to see it through your eyes! As for the Rocky Mountain Irish Festival, it is my vacation gift to myself, and I really can't wait! Some favorite songs I would love to hear are Take Me Down, I Remember it All, Rosa, The Dutchman, Tears of Hercules, Now We are Free . . . oh, heck, just do them all ;)!

Tour with you around Donegal/Derry? Let me think...To quote one of my favorite sayings from a play called "Carousel" (which I did at least 40 times!) "I would swim through beer with my mouth closed!" Bring it on! Can't wait for the new album!

Great blog kiddo. People love your shows, but don't forget, at an Irish Festival, they will still want plenty of what they knew in Ireland, or the well-loved more "traditional" perceived sound of Irish music. Throw a bit of that in there with your own great contemporary sound and you will have a gig-for-life! If your parents go, ask your Dad up for a tune or two. So wish I could be there...

Your family should have a big old inn. Folk coming, hearing music aalong with all the humerous Harkinisms, eating good cooking from the sea and the garden, touring Ireland, campfire sing-a-longs, selling soap 'n stuff...you know, R & R Celtic style with great memories and quality souvernirs. The Harkin Home Inn...on a bluff somewhere by the sea...

Thanks for the blog updates Keith! My anticipation is really high for On Mercy Street in August!! WOO HOO! The countdown clock of 30 days has started for the Rocky Mountain Irish Festival! I for one am Really Excited to be joining you in Colorado! I am traveling from Seattle! Even changed my plane ticket to be sure to catch your extra show! As Marvin Gaye sang "Ain't No Mountain High Enough.... to Keep Me From Getting to You Babe!" Lol! I am thrilled there will be new merchandise too! I do have two song requests: "I AM THE HURRICANE" has been my obsession for months; also would love to hear your inspirational tune "TELL THE WORLD", cuz "you gotta bang on what you got" Right Keith??
See you in the Rocky Mountains! Buy ya a Pint??
